4. Closers
- All fire doors must have self-closing devices. Test that the door closes firmly and latches shut from any angle.
5. Hinges
- Hinges should be firmly fixed with no missing or loose screws. Use metal fixings only.
6. Signage
- Appropriate signage, such as “Fire Door Keep Shut,” must be clearly visible.
7. Free From Obstruction

8. Damage Check
- Look for signs of damage such as holes, warping, or broken glazing.
